Nightmare neighbours - what else can I do?

Hi all
I posted about this on legal matters but it has escalated over the weekend and I wanted some sympathy/advice.

I'm absolutely at my wit's end with our neighbours. There are lots of them living in a two-bed flat and they spend most of their time in the alley between our houses shouting and screaming. It's so noisy in our house and we've asked them to keep it down so many times. The council is involved as there are too many people living in the property.

At the weekend they were at it again and I lost it a bit and went to ask them to be more considerate. They don't speak much English so it's quite hard to communicate with them but four of them were shouting at me and accusing me of being anti-social, which is totally unfair. All I want is some peace and quiet in my home, and for them to be a bit more considerate to their neighbours.

These neighbours are private tenants in the process of being evicted because of sub-letting issues the council has uncovered. But I know this could take months - if it happens at all. I don't know what else to do. I've tried speaking to them, I've tried speaking to their landlord and the council.

If they've been issued with a section 21 then realistically how long will it be before they go? And does the landlord need to follow it through? The landlord doesn't seem that bothered as they pay their rent - despite the council uncovering issues of overcrowding and disrepair.

Do I have any recourse? I don't feel like I can live with this for much longer, especially as our relationship is so strained now.

Sorry this is a bit garbled but it's making me so miserable.

Sorry accidentally posted this twice - it said it hadn't worked. I'll report the other.
