I was once riding with ds who was about 5 at the time, it was about 7:45am, he was on the path, I was on the road.

Ds was nowhere near this man about 60 but fit when he turned round and started shouting and screaming at ds and myself, saying I'm a "fucking idiot and the brat shouldn't be on the path!" He said ds almost rode him over!

I wished him a good morning and carried on riding.

What is the most rudest person you have met?!

I encountered a bunch of very rude hunt sabatouers when trail hunting (no fox involved, just following a trail!) They tried to block me from going through a gate shouting 'shame on you' and scaring my horse. I'd hired the horse for the day, so I didn't know him or how he'd react, I was on my own (having lost the field when I took a detour to avoid jumping) so they targeted us! My horse was too scared to go through the gate so he ran backwards and knocked two of them over! The sabs then accused me of riding into them on purpose ?! We ended up jumping the gate as I couldn't get close enough to unlatch it. They all had balaclavas on and spray bottles of something, it was horrible.

Mine happened last night but I want to let go of the frustration:

Delayed flight with a 2 year old and 4 month old

Land at 2am.. both children were so good in flight and didn't make a sound (though I did have to constantly sway with baby )

Time to get off plane.. everyone goes crazy like they always do getting their hand luggage down and ready to go.. waking two sleeping children and getting all luggage down and everyone pushing into the aisle woke baby who cried for the first time in the flight. Doors take ages to open and it is so hot so baby continues to cry

Baby getting distressed.. finally our rows turn to get off and the bloody family (mum dad and two teenagers) barge right past! Had to fight my way to get out the row in the end.

Have had much ruder experiences but as this happened last night is fresh in my mind and I couldn't believe the selfishness.

@Katzia

Please point out where it states that it is legal for a child under 14 to ride on the pavement. Because it isn't.

Riding on the pavement is illegal regardless of age - its just a lot pf places don't enforce it.

Riding on the pavement regardless of age is annoying and I will admit to take great pleasure in getting in the cyclists way. If they fall off, so much the better and they might learn not to do it again.

Gosh, yes! I worked as a theatre nurse a while back, and honestly, the surgeons were AWFUL. I was screamed at, got things thrown at me, and made to work under the weirdest environments (one surgeon refused ANY noise, so we had to do swab counts via a series of nods and pointing Hmm) I remember someone started coughing once and he started shrieking.
I complained to the theatre manager, who told me 'surgeons are like big toddlers, we baby them though as they bring the money in, not you. 'Envy
I still often see the same surgeons now, on tv, being hailed as angels.
I dont work in that environment anymore 👍

That is the main reason I stopped working as a theatre nurse, @Peachyk. Sad

I work on the Tube and meet rude people every day.

I detest it when "me me me" customers demand my time over those with extra needs. Sorry, but I am trying to find a way to help someone who finds life harder because they are older, have a disability or are simply trying to manouevre a buggy and suitcase at the same time. Me me me people can wait.

I also hate it when they ask where somewhere is without saying please or thank you.

I remember post-7/7, a customer asking me why he still couldn't use the Piccadilly line three days after the attack. I said, because it passes through a crime scene? Lots of victims? He huffed and yelled, "Well how long does it bloody take?". I referred him to the British Transport Police to make a complaint the unfeeling selfish cockwomble.

Wow I never knew that about surgeons! My heartfelt sympathies.

If you don’t want your 5 year old on the road don’t let him ride a bike. My elder rly father couldn’t get out of the way in time and fell over. Wasn’t knocked over. But some people’s reactions can’t deal with a child of adult on a bike.
