To ask for lists of things that would make the world a nicer place if people did them

I posted yesterday about things that I’d noticed others do which seemed selfish, and it seems the problem is that people don’t always think about how their actions might affect others.

So if you could list the things that wind you up that would make life nicer with very little effort.

My top one would be to park considerately - I lose count of the number of times I see people who’ve blocked others in, parked across 2 spaces, made roads impassable for emergency services.

What other things do you wish people thought a bit more about?

OP, did you start this thread just to argue with people?

Not at all - I was just intrigued as to why some people chose to do things that make it harder for others.

I think the responses have been interesting as, while the majority of people have listed things that are easy to do but benefit many, others have chosen things that have an adverse affect on many for the benefit of a few.

I guess it illustrates why people get frustrated with other people - we have different priorities.

Sorry OP but the cyclists on the trains are in the right. They should be given space as they are basically ensuring their entire journey is carbon neutral which benefits the environment, the climate and therefore everyone. Not just a few. I’m not someone who commutes by bike, but I applaud them and your rationale is misguided.

I agree with most of the pp about not dropping litter and picking up dog poop, parking considerately etc.

I also think accepting people have different political opinions doesn't make them evil (see this a lot on mn). Having worked in the civil service for both Labour and Conservative Ministers they have much in common and actually get on with MPs in other parties.
