I just really want cake, and for some reason only birthday cake is appealing to me at the moment. I'm not even pregnant so can't use cravings as an excuse. Tell me wise mumsnetters is it totally weird to buy birthday cake when it's not for a birthday? 😂

I love those supermarket kids’ cakes with thick fondant icing and regularly buy them when reduced. I can eat a half at a time if I don’t slice it and shove it in the freezer.

@SpoonBlender I am accepting of cakes of all colours and creeds (apart from anything with marzipan in, they can sod off back from whence they came). Whilst the cake in question is quite delicious (I speak from vast personal experience), it's not a specific birthday cake, it's just an every day cake (almost literally where I work!)
