To want a house in the middle of nowhere with no neighbours disturbing my peace and quiet!

Ok today was a day off mum duties and I planned on relaxing in the garden with a book, my headphones and being unsociable, the 13 and 15 year old have gone off for a shopping day and dh has taken ds to look at some planes.

My neighbours children are spoiling my plans - ok it's not my neighbours dd she is quite sweet but the children from a few doors away that she has invited to play on the trampoline with her are really annoying!

They keep asking me my name - I've told them several times and every few minutes they ask what I'm doing!! They can only talk to me when they are bouncing on the squeaky trampoline which is nicely positioned on their raised decking so I would need a massive fence to hide them!!

And now the house that has the garden that backs on to mine has started with the diy and big shed building.

I should just give up any thoughts of a peaceful hour in the garden shouldn't I?

that's neighbours, plug some headphones in and listen to some music. I expect I have been that annoying neighbour sometimes, no diy but kids in the garden and bbq. Sometimes I wish I lived on an island.

Have a nice glass of wine and go for an afternoon snooze 🍷

My neighbours are very far away from me. I have total peace in my garden. It's bloody marvelous. I had to move to rural Australia to attain this though... How badly do you want this, OP? Grin

Rural Australia is sounding appealing now - children next door are arguing youngest child is howling / having a tantrum- not sure where the mums are - probably having Wine

I'm eyeing up the gin!

Yes, but if you did have that house In The Middle Of Nowhere , and late at night you heard A Noise outside ..................

And you have to go outside ( you shouldn't but you do) in your nightie with the torch that has the dodgy batteries that stops when you're halfway down the garden.......?

Well, you might wish for neighbours (if only to think the noise is them and ignore it)
