Wedding next weekend. Don't know that many people going. Partners friends. I don't want to go because I'm overweight and everything looks awful on me at the moment. I know I will spend the whole time feeling self conscious and uncomfortable. Aibu to just not go?

It's a shame you've decided not to go. I'll hazard a guess that I'm bigger than you and I know exactly how you feel. Leaving the house is a huge struggle mentally. But you have to get on and do it otherwise, as people have said, it's no life. I have to do it for my kids, I can't keep them prisoner too.

All those who are calling you selfish and rude (very luckily for them) have no idea how it feels.
