Child maintenance

Just a rant really. Applied for child maintenance. Nursery costs are £700 a month, then there are nappies, wipes, clothes, food, and the rest. My ex who earns £650 gross a week has been told he has to pay £200 a month. That's it. Whether he even pays it or not I don't know.

I'm sure I'm not the first to feel this way but AIBU to feel as though the financial burden is pretty much on me here?

I don't get anything for mine either - even the CSA told me that there was nothing they could do as he wasn't paying tax on his earnings (cash in hand). To add insult to injury I had to pay many thousands in legal fees to take them out of the UK recently for a new job overseas. But what can you do. Have a rant and then carry on with your life, I'm sympathetic, but know you will cope.

Try looking on entitled to.co.uk
It will tell you what you can claim, what amounts you can expected and limits on wages, benefits etc.

I’m divorcing with older children, mine has walked away, paying nothing and is now asking for half! No concern whatsoever for his kids!
