Periods

Posting here for traffic.

Between April and July I didn’t have a period (I’m 32). GP put it down to weight loss and said once I’d regained weight it should return. Low and behold three weeks ago it came back; meaning it’s now been two weeks since my last period.

The last couple of days I’ve started bloating, getting cramps and feeling particularly irritable and it’s gradually getting worse. These are usually signs that my period is going to show up at any minute.

However, on a normal cycle I’ll go at least 28 days between the end of one period and the start of another. Could it just be my body is ‘making up’ for the four month absence?

It hasn’t actually started yet (but feels imminent). But, I also have ridiculous health anxiety and I’ve convinced myself this isn’t my period and instead might be something serious; as stupid as that sounds.

Any advice or anyone ever experienced something similar?

Are you on a diet? (Re the weight loss)

When I first went on Slimming World my periods were all over the place but now back to normal

I was on a diet, and exercising insanely hard (I powerlift) but been eating normally (and then some) since April.
