Boris is Helch

Driving from Bristol northwards today, 'BORIS IS HELCH' was written on a bridge.

AIBU to wonder what the heck it means?

Hopefully something rude and funny...

'Helch' is a graffiti tag all round the M25. Everywhere.

Not popular with me because he/she painted over the lovely GIVE PEAS A CHANCE which had been there donkey's years.

NoHummus · 01/08/2019 20:39

In Glasgow someone wrote "Boris is a pure fanny". Grin

MT2017 · 01/08/2019 20:39

I remember Peas, on the M25! Didn't know it had gone. What a lovely message it was to us all Grin

Helch is a cultureless egotistical arse. So Boris being helch is entirely plausible.

StoorieHoose · 01/08/2019 20:42

And then when the one in Glasgow was painted over someone wrote Boris is Still a pure fanny

StoorieHoose · 01/08/2019 20:43

Hehe

Boris is Helch
bionicnemonic · 01/08/2019 20:49

Yes ‘peas’ was warm and funny. Not dull and tedious

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 01/08/2019 20:51

MT 2017 We saw the same one!

Lindy2 · 01/08/2019 20:53

The area is right as Boris is MP for Hillingdon so in easy reach of where "peas" used to be.
I can't really picture him dangling from a motorway bridge with a can of white paint though.
I hate Helch

MT2017 · 01/08/2019 20:56

Apparently Bristol is a Labour area though so not his area voting wise?

HELCH is also tagged on the M1 a few times.

I’ve still not forgiven them for overriding ‘give peas a chance’ 😡 was my go to sign on the M25.

AwfulFuckingHair · 01/08/2019 21:02

I was just thinking about the "Peas" bridge earlier. How weird!

DareDevil223 · 01/08/2019 22:47

OP that's on my drive home, until recently it said 'Boris is a coking pervert' Grin

Freddiefox · 01/08/2019 23:01

I’ve seen HELCH 3 times today whilst driving on the motor way

UsedtobeFeckless · 01/08/2019 23:13

Oh my God! We just had this same "l miss Peas - what the actual fuck is Helch" conversation over supper! Sycronicity or what?

MT2017 · 01/08/2019 23:31

I thought Helch was a verb that I hadn't heard of, or something from the urban dictionary Grin

Oops pressed post by accident...

@daredevil223 wish I'd seen that one, would have been laughing too much to drive safely though Shock

I saw that very slogan over the M5 on Monday and wondered what it meant.

DD wondered how someone could have written it as the side of a bridge over a motorway isn't very accessible.

Longdistance · 01/08/2019 23:46

The one bridge I saw it on is accessible via another road as it’s ‘local’ to me. Not sure about the others.

Give Peas a Chance was legendary ✊🏼

SurreyMumOfOne · 01/08/2019 23:47

Not defending Helch, but I thought I'd read that officialdom painted over Peas? (And then Helch came to the spot)

Divebar · 01/08/2019 23:50

Helch is not just on the M25. Saw that outside Waterloo station too ( sorry to see “ Peas” go )

MT2017 · 01/08/2019 23:51

So Helch is a person! So it could have said 'Boris is Steve' if the graffiti artist had a different tag? Confused

That doesn't even make sense.

How disappointing. I thought it meant 'mendacious liar with overinflated ego' or something along those lines Hmm

SurreyMumOfOne · 01/08/2019 23:51

Ignore me.. I should have googled first!

MT2017 · 01/08/2019 23:52

Helch gets around, doesn't s/he?

OP posts:
MillicentMartha · 02/08/2019 00:08

I guess it’s like saying ‘Boris is Banksy.’ (I very much doubt that, though.)
