To not want to use voucher sites again

The second time ever using a voucher site and they tried really hard to strong-arm me into signing up to further treatments. I know these sites allow businesses to reach out to potential clients with a view of customers becoming regular income but this seemed way OTT.
I bought the voucher for 2 treatments and after the first one 2 people tried to get me to book a block of 12 treatments (£40 per treatment with a slight discount for booking 12). When the first person failed they passed me on to someone else. I felt like I couldn't leave! She tried to get me to sign up to 'a free workshop' then.

I'm way too introverted to tell someone blankly and firmly, "no I don't want it!" I should have said that I need time to think if it's the right thing for me first before continuing and just walked out but my mind went blank and they were being so pushy!

I'm supposed to have one more treatment but I managed to make an excuse and get out of there before the got me to book.

Is this what all businesses do on voucher sites? AIBU to never want to use one again?

I think I need to work on telling people no!

I completely sympathise. Why isn’t one no enough? I struggle with this too, but lately I’m using it as a daily goal of mine, and coming home and recording situations where I’ve been asked to do things I don’t want to and where I have said no.

On a different note though - I’ve purchased a variety of vouchers now, and they are almost always crap - I’ve had times where I’ve lost money because it was such a battle getting an appointment I gave up. In the last month I ordered a discounted prebiotic supplement from a voucher company thinking what could possibly go wrong with that? Several emails and phone calls later and still nothing’s arrived. Absolute trash.

I've used Groupon a few times and have never had the hard sell from anyone to buy more.

I've used Groupon and a couple of other sites and never had a hard sell. Learn to say No Thanks.
