Stupid kitchen issue, please help me feel less bad!

I've broken DFs lovely blender. It's not very old. I was going to make myself breakfast in it, but had to use a little ladder to get something out of a high cupboard, lost my balance and fell off. The ladder hit it, and it's shattered on the hard floor.

It's only a Vonshef 750w food processor with a 1.8l jug, but he uses it every day and I can't seem to find a replacement jug...

I feel so bad. He wouldn't have minded me using it, but he'll probably be a bit annoyed that I was on a ladder, I haven't ever really regained my balance from spinal surgery a few years ago. I'm now covered in milk and feeling a bit shocked Blush

Does anyone know if you can get replacement jugs, or should I just buy a whole new blender? That feels quite wasteful!

Try sending the company an email or call them to see if they will send you a replacement?

PhannyPharts · 01/08/2019 10:37

Or try ebay - sometimes they have random bits.

PhannyPharts · 01/08/2019 10:39

Facebook market place too for second hand replacements. I'm sure DF will be understanding, it was an accident, sometimes things happen. Get yourself cleaned up and try not to beat yourself up too much about it.

Eminybob · 01/08/2019 10:42

More importantly than the blender, are you ok after the fall?

GreenwoodLane · 01/08/2019 10:51

Have you tried partsmaster?? I managed to find a replacement part for my beloved and elderly food processor last year, and it wasn’t too expensive.

Hope you’re ok as well.

LIZS · 01/08/2019 10:54

It's from amazon, see if they do spares

IncrediblySadToo · 01/08/2019 11:04

I would be worried you were on a ladder but not cross, hopefully he’ll feel the same!

I’d spend a couple of hours looking for a replacement jug, but if I couldn’t find one I’d go and buy him a new one and then keep looking for a jug for the old one which I’d take home with me.

Depending on what he’s like I’d tell him I was off out it irdering a new one on-line but I could get him a different one if he would prefer (but that’s only because I have a couple of things I’d rather have different brands/styles of so wouldn’t want a friend going out of their way/spending more to replace something I wouldn’t myself).

How are YOU? That’s all that really matters?🌷

IncrediblySadToo · 01/08/2019 11:07

Just looked them up as I need to buy a FP & hadn’t heard of them

They’re only £40 new - is really stop stressing! It’s not like the £600 kitchen aids!

Yabbers · 01/08/2019 11:22

Why is it on a shelf needing a ladder if it is used everyday? Who does that?

jomaIone · 01/08/2019 11:29

I can't believe you're creating so much drama over a blender 😳

HennyPennyHorror · 01/08/2019 11:33

YAbbers OP didn't say the BLENDER was on the shelf but that "Something" she needed was.

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 01/08/2019 11:52

I've tried to find a replacement jug for you, but I can't either. I've read some of the reviews and they're not very good for this blender Shock they seem to stop working after a while
