To let dd16 go to Brighton for 3 days?

Dd16 has just asked if she could go to Brighton with 2 other friends for a few days, staying in a cheap hotel that she’d be paying for. I’m just not sure as with no adult with them they could be getting up to all sorts and are likely to be getting to their hotel rooms in the morning rather than night. I also know that Brighton is quite lively with hens and stags and so would the environment be suitable for 3 unsupervised teenagers. Just feel that she deserves time to let her hair down and know that she would have lots of fun after studying really hard for her exams so what do I do?

ssd if I was 100% going to let her go with no concerns I wouldn’t have started a thread- I am likely to say yes but doesn’t mean I didn’t have concerns and reservations which make me question my answer hence the thread. No I am not scared of saying no to my daughter but do not want to stop her enjoying herself if it isn’t necessary to do so

She won’t be getting into any clubs or pubs in Brighton. So the question is what is she like? Is she likely to end up drinking on the beach at night or hanging around town? Or is she more likely to enjoy say a meal and go back to hotel? Only you know that - but tbf it’s not any different from London.

Not this weekend I hope? It's Pride weekend, and the town is packed with students.(I live here, so I know)

MyKingdomForACaramel That’s the thing I just don’t know- at home she’s never given me any reason to mistrust her as she’ll often go out with friends for a meal and come home by 9 but also goes to house parties where I’m sure she drinks but has never come home obviously drunk. She’s also been to a festival recently where I’m sure she wasn’t back at the campsite by 8pm playing charades and singing kumbaya by a campfire but again came back intact and normal so I don’t know what she’d do with the 3 days of freedom
