RAC OR AA OR GREENFLAG

My insurance one is poor, didn't tell me didn't have home cover.

Did you read the policy to see what was included or did you just assume that it included all the extras, which is what home cover is because a significant number of call outs are to the driver's home and most of these could be solved with a battery charger and/or some WD40.

You don't want RAC, AA or Green Flag either.

You want Autoaid or GEM for the same service at a fraction of the price.

Thumbs up for GEM.

I’m with Autoaid, they’re great. They cover the driver not the car, which is useful if you have more than one car or sometimes drive someone else’s and have always been able to respond within 90 minutes and all but once have fixed at the roadside. Also includes Homestart, which I’ve used a couple of times even though I never thought I would. And I think I pay about £50 a year.

Oh, and also don’t put an age limit on the vehicle - before I joined them I was with the AA and had to call them out only to have my policy cancelled afterwards because my 26-year-old campervan was too old for them to cover. They don’t tell you this in the policy, mind you, but expect you to call and check before buyingt Hmm
