Worth doing CG method for DD?

This isn’t really an AIBU but WWYD. I’m at my wits end with my 4yo DD hair. It defies description! It’s fairly flyaway but there’s a lot of it. The underneath is ringlets but overlaying that on the top her hair is pretty straight.
I wash it maybe once a week and use minimal shampoo and a lot of conditioner. We never use the hairdryer to dry it but I have brushed it regularly.
What I’m wondering is that I’ve read a lot about the CG method and I’m wondering if DD’s hair is curly enough to warrant going for it? Would it help her, given that half her hair is curly but the other half is straight?
I’m sorry it’s a terrible picture but it’s the best one I could manage to try and show the underneath as well as the top layer!
TIA
