Neighbours noise

Neighbour has reconfigured their semi detached house layout, with the kitchen moving from the far, back of the house to the front of the house, with their washing machine now been on our joining party wall. On spin, our living room and bedroom walls vibrate and the noise of their washing machine sounds like it’s in our house. Not a decent approachable neighbour at all as has no regard for neighbours. Happy to trash my garden and make endless building noise day and night. Any suggestions apart from me banging on the wall in rage.

Move out.

You will have to go round and talk to them first off. Make a note of what they say.

If you approach them and they're unresponsive and it escalates into a dispute this has to be declared to potential buyers if you then decide to put the house on the market. Tread carefully!

Could you ask them to use an anti-vibration mat or put those little feet things under their washing machine? That might dampen the noise.

There's really not much you can do. Using a washing machine is a perfectly legitimate thing for them to do.

Is there any way you can reconfigure the way you use your house to avoid the noise/vibration?
