Posting for traffic. I have a 2017 Ford Focus and when it was in for the recent clutch software recall they told me the clutch is slipping and needs replacing (15,000 on clock and I’m no boy racer) they are saying wear and tear so not covered under 3 year warranty. Quoted £950 or I’ve had an independent garage quote at £500. What would you do? Can’t decide whether to let ford do the repairs and then try and claim against warranty or cut my losses and use a much cheaper garage.
