To have a pregnant moan and ask for advice!?!

So I'm 24 weeks pregnant with my 3rd.
2 young DCs- almost 4 and 21 months.

I finished work for the summer on Tuesday, big DC also finished nursery so home all summer, hottest week of the year or ever....

I HAVE A COLD!! a stinking sore throat blocked nose streaming eyes cold!!!! Angry

Obviously there are worse things but can I just have a moment to say this week has been so hard and hot, heart burn kicking in, feel like a bad mum because DC have watched way to much Peppa Pig and I can't even take any medicine!! At least DH is home for the weekend now- I've left bedtime to him and am lying on sofa feeling sorry for myself!

Supposed to be going for afternoon tea with my girlfriends from school tomorrow which has been organized for ages and I hardly ever go anywhere without the kids- now don't know if I can goSad

So AIBU to just have a good moan about this and a little woe is me moment??

Any tips for me- especially anything I can take whilst pregnant would be most appreciated!!

Paracetamol is fine, just try to use it as sparingly as you can. Vapour rub type stuff in steamy water. Lots and lots of fluid.

I feel your pain, had similar with my first. The above was the advice my pharmacist dad gave me.

Now I'm 28 weeks pregnant and hating the heat, can't imagine being poorly as well!

Be gentle to yourself, take advantage of DH being there and sleep whenever you can

Should have said - by sparingly with the paracetamol, take the full dose but just try to to rely on it for days at a time

Erismon thank you so much - I had forgotten about Vic pretty sure we have some for the kids so will try that!

You have my sympathy. Also 24 wks pregnant, had thrush for 10 days last week, and due to house move, nursery move, work etc ended up howling on the phone to insurance company woman who was unlucky enough to be on the other end (she was lovely and helpful).

No advice re cold beyond what has been said but you are not alone!
