Shaving pubic hair prevents bacterial infection? Soap? Sugar? Yoghurt douche?? 😲

This video has over 3M views!

AIBU to think 'beauty bloggers' should keep their noses out of medical advice? She can't even bring herself to use the word vulva ffs.

It’s a cultural issue. Some cultures do believe that women’s vaginas are dirty etc hence these recommendations 🤦🏻‍♀️

PixieLumos · 26/07/2019 15:58

All the above sounds like a great way to invite a bacterial infection, not prevent one. No thanks.

minipie · 26/07/2019 16:00

Well yes but it’s no more batshit than allowing someone to smear hot wax. over it and then yank out the hairs.

In fact that’s probably the most batshit of all.

I've gone down a proper YouTube rabbit hole now. This one calls it her "cookie"

😧

labazsisgoingmad · 26/07/2019 16:37

on fb there was a piece from a paper saying women should not put ice lollies in their vaginas in this hot weather. must admit the thought had not crossed my mind!

longwayoff · 26/07/2019 16:48

Ye gods. Probably best not to put sugar or ice lollies in your vagina. In some countries, sugar is used as an antibacterial, so if you had infected follicles, scrubbing your pudenda with sugar might help? Better off visiting GP though.

MitziK · 26/07/2019 16:56

Cookie is a South African slang term, I think.

She ain't a saffa, she's a wally.

Also worried now as my saffa pal calls me cookie or cooks a lot 😂
