Went to bed fine. She woke us at 2.20am vomiting, sorry tmi but it was alot. Cleaned her up. Stripped her bed. Whislt re making it she threw up on our bed. Stripped that and has since vomited 4 more. Times but more bile.

No temp and just in a nappy. Still awake and has been since, she's now playing at 5am

However has also had 2 diarrhoea nappies and very smelly wind.
No. Complaints.

Im assuming that it was either due to heat. Or we went to an out door pool yesterday morning and as toddlers do she kept drinking the water.

The appointment isn't urgent but we've waited 6m for it. Its for her eyes.

Im. Saying we should cancel it and maybe ask to be put on the cancellation list. Dp says she has no temp. To take her if she's not sick or anything again.

Yes, you cancel. Most two year olds aren’t being sick six times because of the heat. When she gets to school or childcare you’ll probably have to keep her off for 48 hours following a vomiting session.

It must be incredibly frustrating but you can’t let a buggy two year old into a hospital.

. I have a teen and that's happened many times always stick to the rules.
That's what I said to dp..
Currently watching peppa and Bounding around the lounge.
Sent dp back to bed at 3 as he didn't get in from.work till 10pm. And has to be there by 8 again. He really needs to have his eye on the ball In his job. Kinda hoping now she stays awake till he leaves and we can go to bed without being disturbed zzzzz

At least it should dry today!

Can you imagine if she had another vomiting attack in the waiting room? She probably picked something nasty on that water. Hope she’s feeling better and you don’t come down with it...

olympicsrock · 26/07/2019 05:13

You need to cancel i’m afraid. She has a bug.

CrispSandwiches19 · 26/07/2019 05:16

Ywah that's my thinking.
I dunno how to dry it all. We're in a flat, no balcony. But we have a private car park so may put the airer rou d the corner out there, these things need to be done. Especially the thicker stuff.
Will ring as soon as I can

The hospital will say don't come if you've had d&v within the last 48hrs. There are vulnerable people in Hospitals, please cancel

UncomfortableSilence · 26/07/2019 05:16

Sounds like a classic bug, not having a temp means nothing. My DC have never had temps with bugs it's not a typical symptom.

Frustrating as it is you do need to cancel it's just not fair to take a child out and spread it plus I can't imagine she'll really feel up to going out today.

CrispSandwiches19 · 26/07/2019 05:17

Ywah hope I don't get it. I'm 14w pregnant and had a gastro bug on father's day.. Never felt so awful.

Cancel. Just because she doesn't have a temp doesn't mean she's ok.

CrispSandwiches19 · 26/07/2019 05:19

Yes totally agree. just wanted to show dp I wasn't being silly..
will cancel. Thanks. X

You’re definitely doing the right thing by cancelling, it sounds like she has a bug, possibly caught from the pool.

Hope she’s better soon!

UncomfortableSilence · 26/07/2019 07:12

Bleach clean everything and keep up the hand washing that's the best way to avoid it.

Xmasbaby11 · 26/07/2019 07:17

Definitely cancel. That's a much worse bug than either of my dc have had. A bug is a bug - I've cancelled based on one bout of diahorrea or vomiting. Hope she feels better soon.

Aleciahartismyhero · 26/07/2019 07:21

We cancelled an eye appointment in similar circs a couple of years ago, it’s not fair to go neither on your dc nor other people, there will be other appointments. Hope dc feels better soon

Oysterbabe · 26/07/2019 07:24

Yes you cancel. My DD did this last week and 2 days later all 4 of us were being sick. Don't take her to hospital to infect sick children and medical professionals.

CrispSandwiches19 · 26/07/2019 08:10

Have left a voicemail.
I already bleach everything daily. Lol.. Have done it all twice since 2.30.
She dosed. Off. At 6.45. Laid her in bed and dps alarm went off at 7..then the bin men came so that's her awake. Hoping she'll. Have a long nap later and I'll join her.

Load 3 on the go of boil wash..
