To ask what deodorant you use?

I sweat a lot, especially in this heat. I hate stinking of bo. I shower daily and have used various different deodorants but nothing seems to help.

What deodorants do you all use?

Mitchum works for me

sluj · 25/07/2019 08:00

Any advice on a quick drying one? I use Sure but it stings like mad after shaving 😩

KC225 · 25/07/2019 08:00

Mitchum 48 hour roll on unperfumed

growlingbear · 25/07/2019 08:01

I use Clarins Ressourcante deo spray. It's very expensive but lasts. Don't stop the sweating but really does keep you smelling fresh all day long.

UserThenLotsOfNumbers · 25/07/2019 08:01

Bar soap in the shower, followed by triple dry sports arrive spray and a bit of talc.

DontCallMeShitley · 25/07/2019 08:05

Mitchum anti perspirant roll on, unperfumed.

Geronimorlassie · 25/07/2019 08:09

Mitchum Unscented. I seem to have the strange ability to change a "powder fresh" or "gently floral" scent into a smell from hell. What it smells like in the container is radically different after an hour on me.

So always use unscented and can truly recommend Mitchum.

JustDanceAddict · 25/07/2019 08:09

Mitchum

Whatthefunk · 25/07/2019 08:10

Certain dri prescription strength. Its quite expensive, but really good. Amazon sell it

bellabasset · 25/07/2019 08:25

I found Sure reacted with the acid in my skin, used Mitchum for years. In very hot weather use soap, an old fashioned one that is antiseptic and will help wash away bacteria is Wrights coal tar.

Emptyspacex · 25/07/2019 08:28

Thanks again everyone. Going to take a trip to boots tomorrow. Triple dry and a bar of soap sounds like the best option!

Mitchum = amazing!

Lucafritz · 25/07/2019 13:53

I use the biosen stick deodorant works well for me. Amazing how many women are still using spray deodorants and brands like sure rightguard etc Hmm have you not seen the links between skin and breast cancer linked directly with those deodorants ? That's why they make the skin on your armpits hurt because they are poisoning your skin Shock

Oldraver · 25/07/2019 13:56

Up until recently I was using Mitchum unscented stick, but it wasn't working as well, so have now switched toSure Maximum protection

I've used Cystal Rock a few years back and it did cu the smell but not the sweat. I then made the mistake of using the Aloe Vera one and had a huge reaction. I've also had a reaction to the Lush Bar

PolkadotLollipop · 25/07/2019 13:57

DD uses driclor overnight and Mitchum unperfumed dry stick (the one like a soap bar) during the day.

I use Sure max protection at night and Mitchum unperfumed dry stick

Chocolatedaim · 25/07/2019 13:58

Mitchum
I buy it from Savers I think it’s 89p!

UserThenLotsOfNumbers · 25/07/2019 14:17

I've tried to use stick deodorant before but it never seems to dry properly (or takes ages) - what am I doing wrong? Confused

SerenDippitty · 25/07/2019 14:26

@Lucafritz there's no proven link between deodorant use and breast cancer

I am a disgustingly sweaty female. But, I don't smell.

I shower twice, sometimes three times a day. I seem to sweat everywhere - it's grim.

I have tried all the Sure's, Dove's, Mitchums, Arrid, Mum, Sanex, Garnier, Right Guard, Nivea - and every version of them i.e: Dry stick, gel, and spray, scented/unscented.

I apply at night before bed and usually shower and talc first. None of the anti-perspirants stop me from sweating. I sweat under and between my boobs, down my back, my neck, bum cheeks - i get thrush quite frequently due to the sweaty dampness - despite regular underwear changes.

I have tried the Odaban, and driclor but I found them SO VERY irritating.

It's mortifying and shameful and I have yet to find something that works.

Charley34 · 25/07/2019 17:23

I sweat a lot under arms nothing has ever worked until I started using mitchum roll on it's fab being a few weeks and I will never look back!

Raspberrytruffle · 25/07/2019 17:33

Sure roll on, cold washes before applying

Lillyhatesjaz · 25/07/2019 18:36

I have found that a lot of these products react with my sweat and make me smell horrible I have stopped using anything and although I sweat I don't smell. When I do exercise classes and sweat a lot I shower and change.

Dontsweatthelittlestuff · 25/07/2019 18:41

Mitcham and I have it in all varieties

Predicter · 25/07/2019 19:31

Perspirex i think its called the regular one because the strong rips my skin off, put it on at night and in winter it can last a week, summer like this requires it nightly though

fedup21 · 25/07/2019 19:33

Mitchum. Started off with the spray, then moved onto roll on and now use stick-it’s very effective and smells of baby powder!
