To ask what deodorant you use?

I sweat a lot, especially in this heat. I hate stinking of bo. I shower daily and have used various different deodorants but nothing seems to help.

What deodorants do you all use?

I always used Sure but found, contrary to what the adverts used to say, it did let me down.
Now I use Mitchum and it’s great.

Itwontrainallthetime · 25/07/2019 00:24

At the moment I have found one that is fantastic and beats any I have tried which is quite alot from expensive to natural etc.

It's only 45p and it's fantastic it's from Aldi it's lacura active crystal , it's bloody fantastic and last all day smells gorgeous too. I have tried Aldis deodorant before but it was rubbish but they have seemed to redone it different bottle and scent etc.
It's a roll on too, which I wouldnt normally go for as I usually find sprays last longer.

I love it and won't use anything else now, it might not work for everyone but I found one for me and I sweat loads even not on hot days.

Nat6999 · 25/07/2019 00:26

Mitchum 48 hour, either stick or gel. I've even been known to pinch the ones I buy for DS if I run out.

Inarightpickleandpreserve · 25/07/2019 00:27

Mitchum for me too, the spray though as I’ve never got on with roll ons but I guess they both do the same thing!

lharris1 · 25/07/2019 00:28

Try using an acid toner (e.g the glycolic acid you may use on your face) before applying deodorant as the low pH can get rid of odour causing bacteria

For deodorant I use Mitchum’s roll on followed by their spray

Ilnome · 25/07/2019 00:31

Mitchum yellow one in cream stick form - I had one awful night over summer a year ago where it was v hot and I couldn’t take a shower! I did not smell at all and believe me when I say I sweat like its what I was made to do! Also helps with chafing and underboob sweat xx

steff13 · 25/07/2019 01:01

Even if you don't try Lume, the ad cracks me up.

Korvalscat · 25/07/2019 01:17

Sure for Men - Clean in the summer or if I am likely to get sweaty. In cooler weather Dove stick deodorant.

VaperCut · 25/07/2019 01:49

I second bar soap.

I use Mitchum stick, used the roll previously. They tend to leave white marks on dark clothing which I don't like but the only product that stops the BO (especially the days leading up to AF when even after showering I can smell it).

I used the Sure spray before. But I'm not sure why it had a rebound effect and caused me to smell more??

TwistyTop · 25/07/2019 01:57

Have a look at the Mitchum range

aLilNonnyMouse · 25/07/2019 02:14

Only thing that works for me is the Dove and Sure cream sticks. The liqidy roll on and sprays do nothing for me.

skybluee · 25/07/2019 02:22

sure spray or garnier spray

Kaddm · 25/07/2019 02:23

I’m experimenting with using nothing.
It’s all crap that doesn’t belong in our skin.

1CarefulLadyOwner · 25/07/2019 07:05

Clinique roll-on, unscented. No sweat and no smell, plus I can wear whatever scent I like.

olympicsrock · 25/07/2019 07:09

Dove stick . I find it very effective and it doesn’t irritate my skin

Mummyshark2018 · 25/07/2019 07:12

Sure twist bottle - stress control version. Only one works for me.

UpsAndDowns13 · 25/07/2019 07:15

Mitchum and Sure Max Protection etc don't really cut it for really heavy sweating. I'm sure they're great for most people though. The best I've found is Triple Dry. Put it on at night before bed and you can shower in the morning and it still works. No white marks. You really don't sweat at all with it. Driclor and the others that work in the same way are really good too, but I find them really irritating. You need bone-dry armpits before use. Use a hairdryer to get them really dry. But I still found it itchy in bed! Triple dry doesn't irritate and still seems to offer really good protection. It changed my life after always being worried about wet patches, I can wear whatever now and never sweat.

formerbabe · 25/07/2019 07:17

I use the roll on anti perspirant from lidl...the one with the black lid.

I always make sure it's anti perspirant rather than deodorant.

swapsicles · 25/07/2019 07:22

Sure maximum protection, the only one that stops me sweating, all others i used mean i sweat before i leave the house!
I stopped using it for a couple of weeks and did notice i was a bit whiffy without it after a few days (i did still shower btw!)
Also proper bar soap helps too.

maddiemookins16mum · 25/07/2019 07:25

Sure shower fresh.

reytmardy · 25/07/2019 07:33

Dove stick. It's amazing. No odours, no sweaty armpits .

stucknoue · 25/07/2019 07:48

Aldi own brand is just as good as the brands

GreasyFryUp · 25/07/2019 07:54

Urtekram from local health food shop. Rose fragrance. Always know if I've not put it on smell wise so I'm convinced it works.

GreasyFryUp · 25/07/2019 07:56

Looks like it's either natural deodorants and cope with a bit of sweat or complete pore blockers like Mitchum.

Toffeecakes · 25/07/2019 07:57

Mitchum spray, it’s the only one which works for me.
