Warning : you cannot make this shit up.

We live abroad. Parents arrive for two weeks vacation. I booked a hotel in a nearby resort for a few nights, we arrived, the hotel is a total shit hole (looked good online, good reviews etc etc). Drove home. Nutcase cycled across the highway, I almost killed him and us. I think he was trying to commit suicide or something. Took five years off my life.

Health wise, toddler DD has hand, food and mouth. She hasn't slept through for the last six nights. Started with it the night parents arrive, oh she seems crotchey, parents said. No shit. Massive blisters all over her hands and face, won't stop scratching them, bleeding everywhere etc.

Dad has been bitten by mosquitos. Not that bad, right? Wrong. Huge, huge blister on his leg though size of a golf ball. Hobbling around. Constantly spraying bug spray, which doesn't seem to work??

I have a terrible sore throat, DH had it, now DM has it. Feel like shit, as baby not sleeping. Can barely swallow etc.

Set off today for a day out Hmm as parents want to 'see the area'. Fine. Kids in car, picnic, diapers, medicine for DD etc. Military operation as usual. Get on highway. See smoke in distance. Massive car accident, can't get to where we want to go. Highway totally jammed. Stuck for ages, finally rerouted, not allowed by the police to get to where we want to go. Go elsewhere.

Anyone else?
