Cooked a chicken yesterday, kept what was left after dinner in fridge. Picking off meat for leftovers and this is the inside. It's rotten isn't it? Ffs.

It's on the bottom where the bone is inside. The rest of the meat looks ok.

Is it hard? If so I’d say it’s the bones. There’s an arse piece (at least I think it’s arse) that looks a bit like that.

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 22/07/2019 21:47

Couldnt look at that for long as I started to heave! Looks to me like the intestines werent taken out before cooking.

Fuma · 22/07/2019 21:49

Yes it's the bones. But that's not normal is it.

Looks pretty normal to me, it's just cooked blood and other juices.

NoSauce · 22/07/2019 21:53

Just bin it, it looks revolting Grin

TheBigFatMermaid · 22/07/2019 21:55

That's just a normal chicken!

SpoonBlender · 22/07/2019 21:59

Yeah, that's fine - just veiny blood bits. If you've never frequented a late night fried chicken place you may not be overly familiar with it, but if you have... it's the bit you don't eat!

NuttyNutty · 22/07/2019 22:07

Totally normal. As pp said, it's just blood and juices that congeal inside during cooking. Dont eat them. The rest of the chicken is fine.

catchyjem · 22/07/2019 22:12

If it's rotten , it will stink

Ineedtoknowit · 22/07/2019 22:14

If it’s rotten you will know about it trust me!

Fuma · 22/07/2019 23:05

Thank you everyone!

Likethebattle · 22/07/2019 23:34

yeah that’s the normal roast bottom of a chicken. The blood has cooked.

Osirus · 22/07/2019 23:37

You would have known it was rotten before you even cooked it, as soon as you’d opened the packaging. That’s not a rotten chicken.
