..has the most unlikely plots of any TV programme ever?

The medical details alone are bonkers.

But it's the fact that half the staff leave the hospital when a minor emergency occurs in the town that really gets me.

I still watch it avidly though.

It's on ITV 3 now. Daily.

I hate the fact that the whole thing ends when Dr. Ormerod gets shot and there's no follow-up episode.

Yup. Dr. Weatherill is very upset, as are all the staff.

You'd think they'd be used to the staff dying in strange circumstances.

apparently there was a spin off The Royal Today, back in 2008, axed due to low ratings
