Dishy barman

I ordered lunch this week from a barman (prob about 30) who looked and more importantly sounded like Jamie Dornan and I absolutely couldn't think straight!

It took me about 5 min to stutter out the family order and then I stared stupidly at my card after I'd done the pin until eventually he said "um you can take your card you know"

I don't know what he thought was wrong with me but I worry he knew it was because of his lovely accent etc. I'm not sure if I was blushing.

AIBU?
Is this a bit sexist? I don't think much of middle aged men chatting up/ogling younger female bar staff! I'm happily married btw

The more important question here is what country do you live in & what's the address of the bar? Grin couldn't give a shit if its sexist or not...Jamie Dornan look alike 😈

Yes.....very sexist.

Or can I say I was served by a pretty young checkout operator. It wasnt just her looks but her Scottish accent did it for me too. I was so mesmerized that I just stood there staring at her & forgot to take my card out of the reader. God knows what the rest of the queue were thinking.......

I wasn't staring at him though, that's different

I suspect he thinks all peri-menopausal women are a bit dim but doesn't know why this should be the case

Sometimes you just see a person and there is just something about them you like or just seem to click with! His probably used to the attention if his good looking or some customers getting a bit tongue tied when his serving.

There was a ( non celeb) contestant on the chase quiz show the other night who really was 'my type ' ( sadly too young for me) but he had such lovely eyes and face and seemed to be just a nice bloke.
Some celebs others find attractive leave me cold plus if your so good looking you don't need to make an effort then that could be a bit of a turn off as well ( I hate vain men!)

You are soooo entitled to go a bit pink and fancy someone! He probably knew and got the vibe from you so that's why he mentioned the card thing. Make the most of it, I'd be taking the family for a meal every weekend at that rate Wink

Oh god I had a similar thing except it got even more embarrassing. Was a very dishy barman in a pub me and my friends sometimes use. Very chatty and flirty. Probably like that with everyone but very enjoyable. Probably got a bit drunk and flirted a bit more than was necessary. Come last September who rocks up at school with a new reception kid? Dishy barman.

Where is he?

I work in a bar, none of the staff would mind or even notice this compared to intense stares and lewd comments we get. Middle aged women are actually the worst, especially with doormen Grin
