To ask how long your amicable divorce took?

DH and i are on good terms at the moment. Looking for zero lawyer involvement as we are happy to sort shared finances and custody of our 15mo DD amongst ourselves.
Only involvement will most likely be that we will have a stipulation put in place that the sale of the house in future will mean a 50/50 split of the profit.

So if we are having a simple, amicable, non contested divorce, how long should it take? How long did yours take?
I want to move on an be happy, as does he.

10 weeks for my DIY amicable divorce. No financials
involved though, just a clean break.

Two years and around 7 weeks.

The two years bit was because we wanted to divorce without blame.

We, like you, did it all ourselves.

A couple of months I think? Took a few weeks to get pension values from employers (even though neither claiming each others) but was all pretty straight forward

I think it depends if you want some sort of court agreed financial document - we did and for some reason it seemed to take forever - I think around 9 months maybe more - we agreed on everything just seemed to take that long to draw up all the details etc at the solicitors.
