WIBU to take a present next term

So today was my kids last day in reception. DD was ill so popped card in for the teacher. Turns out everyone else had taken presents as well as the group collection and I hadn’t as assumed the group collection covered it. Now feeling really shitty.

Would it look odd to take something in at the beginning of the next term?

Or should I just run some booze to the school now hoping she’s not left?

I wouldn't worry, I used to teach and a card was always the nicest present.

I don't know why they had a group collection then they took in presents anyway? Don't get swept up in the nonsense you gave to the collection handed in a card honestly it is fine no need for anything else.

Thanks both, much appreciated, feel relieved now!

Ffs do nothing, just another way of contributing to the environmental problem of waste and consumption. A card is more than enough.

Another teacher here, 100% would rather a card any day over a present! Don't worry about it!
