Jet2 Couple. Greedy or within their rights?

I personally call greedy. They helped Jet2 staff restrain a woman who was trying to open the doors on a flight which was amazingly brave. Apparently this woman was acting crazed. But since they have heard that Jet2 are seeking 85k from the woman for the cost of diverting the flight etc, they are demanding a share in this. Apparently being given free drinks was an insult and they want money.

I think they are just being bloody greedy. What do you think?

I can't see airports stopping serving alcohol when they make so much money out of it and 99% of people can have a drink without causing trouble.

The airline will get nothing from the woman, she'll plead poverty and her behaviour will be given a mental health tag.
There needs to be a universal blacklist of people like her to ban them from ever flying again. Someone should have simply slugged her into unconsciousness.

The airports don't need to stop serving alcohol but the airlines should prevent anyone they consider a risk, ie drunk, from boarding a flight. If they miss their holiday and money, tough, they may learn some decent behaviour.
