My daughter (who is 24) has aspergers, tourettes and ADHD. She has recently started making personal comments about people in public. She says things like 'you've gotten awfully fat' and she commented loudly in a shop 'something needs to be done about the number of obese people'. She also asked the on-duty GP (who she hadn't seen in about 3 years) why she had let herself go. She also identifies loudly in public same sex couples and 'men dressed as women'. I have mentioned it to her key worked and ADHD nurse and they both say it is her Tourette's, but this only started about six weeks ago and she is usually very polite. When I tell her that what she says isn't appropriate she says 'ok mum sorry' but then does it again almost immediately. My husband (her dad) and her sisters feel that I'm making a big deal out of this and they agree that it must be her Tourette's. But her tics are non-verbal and she was diagnosed at 6 and has never said these things before. Also, if anyone has any advice on how to deal with this I would really appreciate it
