Not one.
They all have their own problems, worries and very full lives.

Not one of them would willingly or happily meet me for a coffee.

On days when I feel like this.
No one knows. No one.
It’s covered very well.
But then no one would be interested anyway.

Awful things have happened in recent years to me and to those around me.

Do you have a go to person who knows you inside and out who you would/could go to any time?
Aibu to think that the majority of us have no one in this capacity?

Aww sorry your feeling like that, reaching out on here should help though as I'm sure there's plenty of us willing to listen and support you..

I would agree though I always seem to be the person that people come to, but no one seems to think that I need that same support myself, I have days like your having now. Just got to take it one day at a time 😘

I'm.sorry you are feeling alone at the moment. A good network of friends is important. I am going through a difficult time at the moment and whilst I dont really have any family to help I do have supportive friends and colleagues who are keeping in touch and it is helping me through.

crosser62 · 19/07/2019 11:40

That’s good.
I am one of those people who are checking that you are ok and keeping in touch with you.
That’s what I do.

I feel totally alone and have no one checking that I’m ok. No one keeping in touch with me.
In the last 4 days I have received no text messages, no phone calls and no other messages from a single person.
Not one.

I'm sorry you feel like this.
I am lucky I have people I could call on. My problem is I don't feel comfortable doing so. I don't even understand myself so why would anyone else? plus I don;t want to burden them.

Elliebellbell · 19/07/2019 12:46

No I have lots of people and I'm incredibly thankful. I have had a very difficult year and have been overwhelmed by the support.

Hope you find the right person eventually op x

hibbledibble · 19/07/2019 12:47

Can you call the Samaritans or another helpline?
Sorry you don't have anyone to talk to.

noeyedeer · 19/07/2019 12:49

I don't tend to text or message most of my friends all that often. I feel that they're all busy etc and I don't want to bother them. But I'd be heartbroken if any of them felt the way you are and they didn't feel that they could send a message asking if I was free for a natter.

It can surprise you if you do reach out and share what your going through, some folks you thought you could count on are not there for you and others that you didn’t expect step up, I just had coffee with acquaintance and was surprised she opened up about a lot of mental health stuff we had in common I’d never have guessed. It can often seem others have their shit together live gilded lives but make the effort/ be brave and share/bond and it can be a pleasant surprise
