To email the recruiter?

Long story short:
-I applied for a job but its been filled and the recruiter advised that there is another opening which I could potentially be a good fit for and passed my details onto a colleague of hers who was dealing with that role.

  • I received an email within a couple of hours from the recruiter asking if I could have an initial phone chat beginning of next week.
  • I got back to her yesterday morning saying I can do anytime next Monday please let me know what time works best for her and that's it

-No response for that. Tomorrow is Friday, I suggested to have the chat on Monday, should I email her as nothing was ever confirmed?
What should I say to not to come across too much?

I am sorry about the bullet point. I have been at work today. My brain is just mash and it was easier to write this thread this way.

Just assume it's not going any further and leave it. Recruitment consultants are cut throat and she probably found someone else. Keep applying for other jobs.

I’d chase it, they have probably filled the position but you don’t have anything to lose by asking.

I would ring them . The more personal contact the better as they get more of an impression for you. I got my last job after being the 'wildcard' CV that the recruiter shortlisted after the he thought I'd be the right personality for the company. That online happened because I rang to ask a question and looked keen.

I would resend the same email. If no reply then id assume application wasnt going any further

ambereeree · 19/07/2019 08:35

Why not call her and make sure the email was received?

HambeldonGardens · 21/07/2019 15:17

I received an email from her saying that she will update me with the recruiting process. Not sure what she means... getting very mixed signals. I sent her an email saying that Id be grateful is she kept me on the loop and she replied that she will. So who know but I don't have high hopes.

Thank everyone the replies
