Trying to gage what the traffic is going to be like tomorrow / Saturday / Sunday!

Tomorrow 1:30, I believe.

beecrazy · 18/07/2019 08:25

Monday, should be Tuesday but that's an inset day. I think there'll be a lot of children NOT going in on Monday

CarolDanvers · 18/07/2019 08:26

Already broken up - two days ago. But I think we are in the minority.

sleepwhenidie · 18/07/2019 08:28

There’s a mix, as you can see! At the moment it feels quiet because private schools all finished last week or earlier, but most state schools will be tomorrow or middle next week. I’d guess this weekend will be v busy getting out of London.

TheVanguardSix · 18/07/2019 08:31

Yesterday. Hammersmith. Schools are all broken up around here.
But in Chiswick (West London/Hounslow) and Southwest London (Barnes/Borough of Richmond), they're still going, some until next Tuesday.

HeadintheiClouds · 18/07/2019 08:37

Today

Rosti1981 · 18/07/2019 08:41

Tues lunchtime. SW, quite far out.

Imustbemad00 · 18/07/2019 09:27

It varies. In our borough the official day is Tuesday but most schools are using Monday and Tuesday as inset days so break up tomorrow.

MyOpinionIsValid · 18/07/2019 09:31

Depends on whether there are insets banked, twlights used, Some have broken up already, some break up next week.

Look on the relevent council website for guidelines.

London is a very big place - do you mean Harrow, Dagenham or Croydon? All are hours apart.

Sutton Borough - Tuesday

hibbledibble · 18/07/2019 09:37

Tuesday

Gracie300 · 18/07/2019 09:39

Tues lunchtime, Central.

SquirmOfEels · 18/07/2019 09:41

Private schools already have.

Saw a teacher friend last night, and she said she had two more days to go, so there will certainly be ones breaking up on Friday

Which bit of London are you planning on driving through?

BarryBarryTaylor · 18/07/2019 09:41

Not until next Tuesday for my Dd! 😯 although she doesn’t go back until 12th September which is fairly late...
Some schools in the next borough broke up on Monday.

bristolianpielover · 18/07/2019 09:54

We're driving to NE London tonight from the West Country, then to Dover tomorrow afternoon. I suppose it is what it is, nowt I can do about it!

BBC Breakfast News has just run a piece saying that today is predicted to be the worst traffic 'get away' day of the end of term season. Expected to peak early evening, and start ebbing at 6:45 ish

NorthernBirdAtHeart · 19/07/2019 07:29

DD breaks up at 12 today.

Helpmedecide123 · 19/07/2019 08:34

Route to Dover goes through SE London - most schools in that area, including DD's, are breaking up today at 1.30pm, AFAIK.

LotusInspired · 19/07/2019 08:37

North London here. Today 1:30

Echobelly · 19/07/2019 08:43

Breaking up today, but at least half the schools in the area are breaking up on Tuesday next week it seems.

MollysMummy2010 · 19/07/2019 11:40

Tuesday in sw London
