Am I being over sensitive?

Currently thinking of changjng job, went to look around some where that has a job advertised and welcomed visits. Had a tour that went well and then a chat with the manager. We got on well and I am well qualified for the job. As I left there was no mention of anything along the lines of ‘we hope to hear from you’ felt a bit of a flat end and I did think that maybe it hadn’t gone as well as I thought.
If you are a manager or in a leadership role and someone looked around for a job who you thought was suitable how would you leave the meeting? Am I being over sensitive or were they not interested in me applying?

There's only one way to find out!

Drop an email saying thank you for the tour, you're very interested and please let you know if there's anything suitable coming up for you.

Always follow up anyway. You never know. She might have shown round 15 people that day and was exhausted and forgot the spiel. Or maybe she thought you weren't interested?

But an email afterwards won't do any harm. Good luck!

Thank you. There is a job and I’m currently writing the application I’ve just got a funny feeling about it!

When I've been involved in recruitment previously we've always been explicitly told that we have to treat every candidate equally and can't do anything that might indicate more favourable treatment of anyone or suggestion that they might get the job. We basically have to follow the "script" and be polite.
So maybe the company you are applying for has similar rules?
