AIBU if you take in someone’s parcel you don’t repeatedly ignore the door?
A few months ago I had an delivery booked, I was in the flat working and when I heard the door bell I buzzed the person in. I also heard downstairs buzzer go so I wasn’t sure if it was someone for them. A few mins later I heard something come through the letterbox, I went to check and it was a “sorry we missed you” card saying they had delivered to ground floor. I ran after them but they’d gone so I knocked on ground floor and they didn’t answer, which is odd as they had just signed for my parcel. I then tried to knock for my parcel over the next 2 weeks, all daylight hours obvs and in the end I posted a note with my mobile number and they kindly dropped it off outside my door (I said this was ok - it was reusable sanitary wear so hardly a thief’s dream 😂).
I don’t usually get things delivered to the flat and I usually use pick up points at the post office etc but I then made another order last week as I had a week off and thought I’d be in for the delivery.
Again it has gone to the ground floor (I was actually out this time). Again I’ve been knocking daily. The lights are always on but no answer.
Sometimes I can hear the telly. Maybe they are pissed off they have another of my parcels! It’s been a week now and I don’t want to write another note but I want my parcel!
Background- there are seven flats in the building so there are other options. We’ve often taken in other parcels but the person has always knocked in the next day or so. I work full time days and nights shifts so I do understand they may be working but I can’t see what else I can do!
