...I am being unreasonable but xmas party ideas for a Saturday daytime !?

I knooow. I am BU even mentioning the xmas word.
But I have to organise a party for around 40 people, age between 19 and 60 and mostly female.
We have voted for a Saturday afternoon in December in the Birmingham area.
I'm so bloody stuck. Everyone at work is too busy to help me think of ideas (me included) and because it's daytime it rules out the usual themed party event nights.

Sorry for shamelessly posting here but I've got to make it look like I'm doing something and I need help if anyone can think of anything!

I considered Lane 7 bowling but not sure if that's a bit pants?!

Bottomless lunch somewhere? There’s lots of places in Birmingham that do it- St. Paul’s house, lost and found, dirty martini (although your group) may be too big for here and other places

Afternoon Tea? With a heap of cocktails?
