Very faint line on pregnancy test?

Hi mumsnet Smile I took a cheap Poundland pregnancy test this morning as I had (still have!) a feeling I was pregnant but because I wasn't completely sure I wanted to save my money. I've bought a more expensive test alongside after this faint line to do in a few days to verify which leads to my question. There's a very faint line on the pregnancy test (picture linked) and I'd like a second opinion. The speculation is high and I don't want to do the second more expensive test too soon! Is this very faint line visible to you? I hope it's visible enough on the photo to be seen. I could be clutching at straws.

I see a second line, good luck!

beepjenni · 16/07/2019 20:19

NeverSayFreelance that's great! A little cheaper than the Superdrug and Tesco ones Smile I'd go to Morrison's for more but we don't have any stores over in NI! Smile

crispysausagerolls · 16/07/2019 20:29

I see a second line

ChikiTIKI · 16/07/2019 20:42

When are you taking another test? :)

MauisHouseOnMaui · 16/07/2019 20:44

My local chemist sells those Clear&Simple tests, they've always worked fine for me and were very reliable - with one pregnancy I got a faint positive on one of those three days before my period was due.

StinkinDrink · 16/07/2019 20:48

Ooh quite early then, keep trying over the next few days but I wouldnt waste your money on the clear blue ones, I got my faintest positives on them then on the digital ones the amount of weeks I was never changed which is very common but no less worrying!

beepjenni · 16/07/2019 21:57

Stinkindrink thank you for giving me advice! Smile I'm definitely quite early along if I'm pregnant! I don't think it's worth spending the money on them at the minute. Thanks for letting me know that you've had trouble with them.

ChikiTIKI I'm thinking of going for it on Friday or Saturday just to let my levels in the urine strengthen (technical terms- this would be my first if I'm pregnant! Grin) I'll share how it goes! Thank you for the support this evening!

beepjenni · 16/07/2019 22:01

Stinkindrink, I'd be worried too no matter how common it was!

Mauishouseonmaui that's great to know Smile they weren't badly priced either!

I can see a second line.

If your period is late a FRER would be obviously positive by now.

BTW assuming you're pregnant you're 4 weeks and 3 days. A Digi would say 1 - 2 weeks or 2 - 3 weeks depending on what time of day you take it and the level of hCG in your urine.

No need to wait until Friday.

Good luck!!!

beepjenni · 16/07/2019 22:03

Moanyhole I don't blame you! I'm just trying to keep costs down Grin

Jemima, thank you! Smile

Sorry - should have been clearer - CBDigi estimate from conception.

But pregnancy is dated from your last period so that adds two weeks to the dating.

I hope that made sense.....

beepjenni · 16/07/2019 22:05

Thank you everyone! Smile

liquor865 · 16/07/2019 22:07

I used that exact test and found them very reliable.
Hope you get the result you want!

Thehop · 16/07/2019 22:14

I see a second line

Do another in the morning, you can’t keep us guessing!

Ginandgingers92 · 16/07/2019 22:24

I see a second. Please test in the morning! Fingers crossed for you! X

MRex · 16/07/2019 22:25

You should do the other one in the morning, if you're pregnant then it should show up given your dates. Wee in a pot and dip it, much easier. (If you are pregnant then you'll get very used to weeing into skinny pots soon but treat yourself to a wide pot for this test!)
