Another DH and Computer games thread

DH is obsessed with a computer game at the minute. He’s been playing it for months but used to restrict it to the odd hour here and there.

Just lately he’s on it CONSTANTLY. He gets home from work at 4:30 and goes straight on it. He’ll then stay on it until 9pm (ish) before coming to sit with me for an hour if so before I go to bed (like a token gesture). Once I go to bed he goes back on it until 12:30am (ish). Wakes me up coming to bed.

On a Friday he finishes work at 12pm and then plays this game all afternoon. If I ask to use the computer he goes all grumpy and then asks to go back on it an hour later.

Saturday and Sunday he’s on it more or less all day. He never wants to go out or do anything.

I’m usually pretty relaxed about gaming (I like gaming too but I don’t get to do it at the minute as he’s always on the bloody computer!)

It’s just getting too much. AIBU to want to lay some ground rules with it?

(No kids at home btw)

When does he find time to do his share of cooking, laundry, cleaning etc?

Duchessgummybuns · 16/07/2019 19:58

What game is it?

ohnoessexgirl · 16/07/2019 20:10

How old is he? 12?

MorbidlyObeseWhale · 16/07/2019 20:18

He doesn’t do any laundry. He’ll tidy the kitchen up but doesn’t clean anywhere else. He’ll cook on a Saturday night but only simple things - slam something on the grill and then back on his game.

I do 100% of the laundry
90% cleaning
80% cooking
95% dog care
90% shopping

I work part time though

Tell your DH you've purchased a new video game: divorced, single man and to enjoy it to his heart's content
