Broken toe?

Posting for traffic really....

Not sure if I should be bothering my GP or A&E with this, don't want to be a time waster!

Husband accidentally dropped a bit of furniture of my toe yesterday and I was wearing sandals 🤭

It was obviously pretty painful at the time and lots of swearing! Today it's really swollen and bruised but don't know if it's broken or just bruised!

So WIBU to go to the docs with this?

Apologies for the scabby feet pic 🤢

I've broken mine twice they can't do anything about it. You're just given crutches if you need them, and a sort of slipper boot thing to wear.

NHS advice is get it seen if it’s your big toe or if it’s at a funny angle.

Otherwise it’s rest, ice, elevate it and strapping it to the toe next to it.

I broke my toe last year and if that experience was anything to go by then believe me, you'd know! Excruciating! On saying that, my dh has chipped toes before and never gone near a gp/ hospital and not found out until years later when being xrayed for something else.
