To miss not laughing as I did when I was a teen

Maybe it’s just me but I suddenly realised that although my children make me smile and giggle and I’m generally happy I can’t remember the last time I really laughed. That helpless laughing that you get when you are with good friends when growing up. Is this an age thing or do I need to get out more?!

Not an age thing here. At 36 and 44 married for 18 years not a week goes by without me and my husband laughing so much it hurts. Maybe you need to make some changes in your life

As pp said not an age thing at all. In our 50s and we often laugh until we cannot breathe.

In work we laugh until we cry.

Definitely not an age thing. I'm 55 and Same as other posters me and my husband laugh together lots. One of the reasons I married him was his ability to make me laugh. With him but lots of times at him!

The sheer weight of responsibility - kids, bills, the fact that 80% or what you do is because you have to do it rather than want to...
Laugh until you cry is a great release but I can’t remember last time but I do know it was over something completely silly that on any other day may not have even raised a smile!

DH still makes me laugh a lot, but me and my best friend absolutely cry laughing every time we get together. We have the same sense of humour and anything can set us off. I think you need some of that in your life.

Sometimes things just get you though. Couldn't tell you the last time I laughed uncontrollably, until the other day when someone in work got some words muddled up with amusing consequences and I was crying 😂 took me ages to get a grip of myself
