Can I wear this black and white jumpsuit to a wedding?

I am having a crisis, my outfit that I was going to wear is too tight on me. I've put on quite a bit of weight recently so I need something nice and loose to feel comfortable. I got this jumpsuit without thinking about it being white - whoops 🤦. Is it acceptable to wear as an evening guest? I was thinking maybe bright pink/mustard heels to add some colour... I appreciate it's not to everyone's taste but please be kind.

I think it'd be fine! I love it, it's gorgeous! I want it too!!

Alsohuman · 13/07/2019 15:57

Yes, it’s lovely. Buy it.

NothingBreaksLikeAFart · 13/07/2019 15:57

Most bridal dresses are more sort of cream/ivory aren’t they?

Are you just going to the evening do? I think it would be fine.

Somethingnothing · 13/07/2019 15:57

Phew thank you! I have got it and it is lovely and loose and comfy. Just don't want anyone to think I'm a CF for turning up in white, or worse, upset the lovely bride x

I really like it. No problem at all as a wedding outfit. I’d wear it with black stilettos.

TheHandsOfNeilBuchanan · 13/07/2019 15:58

Surely it depends on the dress code? If it's quite formal/black tie, no, casual event sure.

Somethingnothing · 13/07/2019 15:58

Thanks ladies xx

I really like it. Have a great time

ambereeree · 13/07/2019 16:00

I would wear that with royal blue stilettos and a matching royal blue big waist clincher type of belt.

Tittybiscuit · 13/07/2019 16:00

It's lovely! I wish I'd have seen it for a wedding I'm going to next week :) I'd team it with bright accessories, I love your idea of mustard. Have a good day

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 13/07/2019 16:01

Second the black stilletos.

Somethingnothing · 13/07/2019 16:02

Thank you all, I'm so relieved! Amber, love the idea of royal blue, going on the hunt now!!

I really like it too.
Is it quite a light material? Wearable in hot weather?
And I think mustard would look great with it.

Somethingnothing · 13/07/2019 16:05

It's quite nice material - deffo got a man made feel but not OTT. It's a little see through so will get flesh coloured undies Grin

It’s perfect. Specially with some bright touches. Have a good time

MissRhubarb · 13/07/2019 16:15

Ooh, I love that! I like the ideas from the other posters of splashes with colour. Next time I have something to go to (rarely happens) I'm going to post on here. Have fun at the wedding.

MissRhubarb · 13/07/2019 16:15

splashes of colour

Pinkyponker · 13/07/2019 16:19

Am I the only one thinking it looks like pyjamas....?

Somethingnothing · 13/07/2019 16:35

Haha I'll take that pinky. It's a style I feel I can be me in and not worry about wobbling

Mummadeeze · 13/07/2019 16:37

I want it now too!

that25cUKHeatwaveof2019 · 13/07/2019 16:44

As an evening guest, I think that's fine

heath48 · 13/07/2019 16:47

It’s fab, royal blue with it would make it stunning.

bridgetreilly · 13/07/2019 16:47

The thing about not wearing white is so you don't upstage/look like the bride. Because of the contrast pattern all over, that's completely fine. I mean, I wouldn't wear it because it's not my taste at all, but I wouldn't look at a guest who was wearing it and think it inappropriate for a wedding.

happyhillock · 13/07/2019 16:48

I'd wear it, its lovely, have a good time

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 13/07/2019 16:49

I agree it doesn’t break the “don’t wear white rule” as it looks nothing like a bridal dress.
