Matching clothes

This isn't really an AIBU as such, I'm just wondering why some MNs have a problem with children wearing matching clothes, ie. an outfit that matches?
I have zero opinion on this. Most of the time babies and kids don't care what they're wearing, so probably don't care if their outfit matches.
Just wondering 😊

I’m a twin so we were always matching and it never bothered us. If I had twins I would probably dress them matching.
What I find weird is when mothers match with their daughters. I follow someone on Instagram who is #twinning with her four year old daughter. What I find astonishing is how close to being identical the outfits are.

My mum used to make matching outfits for us when we were little. My little sister loved it. As the older sister I loathed it. Sadly I've not had the chance to make mine suffer the same as they are boy and girl.

Me and DD4 wear matching things sometimes, she loves it, DP loves seeing it, and I think it’s pretty cute. Mostly trainers tbf but we do have a couple of hoodies etc

Me and my sister often used to get the same things in different colours. I think it was just easier and fairer from my mums pov. We didnt have to wear them at the same time.

I think matching outfits can be quite cute when they are young but if possible they should be able to choose for themselves.

I can't imagine ever being organised enough to have both DS in matching outfits. Finding one clean, ironed that fits and they'll wear is enough!

My 2 girls have a few matching dresses, they wanted to have the same although it's not something I do regularly.
I don't care what others think.

I sometimes make my b/g twins match, but in a subtle way, not same clothes bit same colour or pattern. They quite like it, but TBH at 5 they don’t really care what they are wearing,

My 2 and 4 year old have a few of the same t-shirts, swimsuits, or complimenting tops (my sister did it, my brother did it). Most have been bought due to their choice, or a request for an additional purpose. They choose to match, they frequently don't.

On holiday the same sunsuits helps a lot to keep track of them!

Mine love it. I'm not bothered so if they want to, why not? Yes the youngest Jay wear it twice but if she can remember what she wore at 18 months when she is 4 i think shed be a genius
