I'd love to know this -I assume you got the same email as me where is try 30 days for £1, but I couldn't search to see what's included locally.

Singlebutmarried · 12/07/2019 16:12

I’ve downloaded the app and that give you a reasonable amount of info. But I’ve not purchased any tickets for anything yet as I can’t see the prices and don’t want to accidentally approve something I don’t want on the app IYSWIM

narkedoff · 12/07/2019 16:20

I got a free years membership of the kids app from a promotion on a mop I bought (random, I know).

I've used it to save money on Alton Towers and showcase cinema. If you want to know what's on offer in an area I can do a search for you

RosieLancs · 12/07/2019 16:21

Yes I got the 30 day trial for £1 email, nearly signed up as it's only £1 but if it's good may wait until nearer the school holidays as if I sign up today it expires 11th August

Quite a few reviews said it was hard to cancel at the end of the £1 trial which is putting me off. I got the impression that it's mostly theme parks which also doesn't appeal but not sure if that's true. Can you use it for any cinema chain?

narkedoff · 12/07/2019 16:44

Cinemas listed on the app include VUE, cineworld, showcase, odeon, Empire and a few others I haven't heard of.

I've just checked the last of the app that registers my savings and I've used it for

Alton Towers
Sea life centre Scarborough
Showcase cinema
Cineworld
Hollywood bowl (20% off-use this a lot)

The food side of things is pretty poor, I don't use any of the companies listed. There's stuff like 25% off chiquitos and bogof Pizza Hut delivery.

I don't know how much is it after the trial so I don't know if it's worth me using it after the free year. I do forget to check activities on it sometimes

I always feel wary when people try to sell you something without telling you what you're buying.

MulberryPeony · 12/07/2019 16:49

I cancelled we’ll within the time limit and they still took the payment and refused to return it. Don’t do it.

MulberryPeony · 12/07/2019 16:49

Well even not we’ll*

PrincessScarlett · 12/07/2019 16:52

I am also wary as friends of friends have found it impossible to cancel after the trial. It is also not clear what discounts for what attractions. One or two others I know love it and use it all year round although they are the type of people that normally spend a fortune on outings so they never have a day at home.

I've had one for 3 years and the annual cost is £39.99 which is taken annually. I started with the £1 trial which effectively allows you to try before you buy. It has all of the UK's big theme parks at about half price + all of the big cinema chains with about 40% off which we use a lot. The holiday deals are really good, we saved £400 on a haven holiday last summer and they have just added over 1000 gift cards with about 10% off which will be great for Xmas.
If its not for you it couldn't be simpler to cancel, you just go to members area in the website and click cancel, and it will send you a cancellation reference.
I've recommended it to so many family and friends (you get £5 for this) and as far as I know they are all still using it, as its so easy to save the £39.99 annual fee.
Hope this helps

I did the £1 free trial and cancelled in plenty of time. They still took the £40 out and I couldnt get it returned. They claimed it wasn’t cancelled properly. Managed to have it properly cancelled and yet again, the next year they took the payment again! I got the bank to do a charge back this time, so then they began to charge me per month instead, and where putting it through as card payments!
I changed my bank card and payments have now finally stopped, but I’ve paid well over £100 for it.
Oh and to top it all off, because I HAD actually cancelled it, despite them claiming I hadn’t, I couldn’t actually use any of the discounts or privileges I was paying for!
Totally not worth it in my opinion.

toots72 · 24/09/2019 18:52

I cancelled and months later they have taken the full £39.99 out of my account without any notification. When I wrote asking for a refund they refused and said I need to fill out a complaint form. I even have emails from them asking me to reactivate my account. The discounts aren't all that great. It's not worth it. One restaurant I went to said they had cancelled the deal though it was still listed as active on the app.
Certainly not worth £39.99 which they seem to be taking from people fraudulently because no one is going to continue after the £1 trial. It must be the only way they can make any money. Avoid like the plague!!

PJ80 · 28/09/2020 18:49

DON’T USE KIDSPASS!!!!
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!
I signed up to their £1 first month, (Offers weren’t great btw). I cancelled in plenty of time as t and c’s say to but they still took money from my account. Luckily I noticed after one month. I contacted them and sent them a phone screenshot saying I had cancelled but that wasn’t good enough for them. They said it didn’t register their end (my fault??). There was no way I would get a refund from these rip off merchants. They seem to talk about procedures that aren’t in the t and c’s. There are so many bad reviews about same type of things. And all this with everything going on in the world, people have no money and want a day out with kids because we can’t go abroad. I have had to cancel my debit card and told my bank to make sure they don’t take any more money, as reviews say that’s what they do to people and won’t refund.
Also - you’ll find 5 star reviews mixed with the zero stars. Fake ?? I very much think so.

I know this is old but just wanted to thank those who shared their experiences on here, was just deliberating whether to sign up for this! Obviously won't bother now.
