Not invited to my Mother's wedding to my Stepfather...........

As a child that is. Out of 6 DC from two previous marriages, only 1 of my older siblings attended (she would have been 10). I was the youngest and aged 7 so not a baby who may have created stress!

I have always thought this was odd. I never felt comfortable enough with my stepfather to trust him or feel close to him and wonder if this was partly why. They hadn't been together long before they got married.

I am trying to work out why you would exclude your DC from your wedding to a man who you then expect them to look on and respect as their father figure!

It was a church wedding with a reception afterwards.

My dad did this to my sister, it’s really odd behaviour.

No point asking us why, we don't even have your family dynamic.

Is your mother still in a relationship with your stepfather? Do you think he was controlling and made the decision for her?
