Inspired by the previous thread where the AIBU was a little unclear, I was wondering what the %'s would be on a straight question. Hope we can get a large umber of voters to get a good idea of the split!

YABU - leave the EU

YANBU - remain in the the EU

Also meant to add, I haven't seen a similar thread so sorry if this has already been done.

YANBU but I don't have a voting button.

MrsJakeLovell · 09/07/2019 20:47

I voted Remain

I do not support a second referendum

I would support a party who would pledge to stay in the EU (would probably have to make some concessions)

I would prefer we were not leaving

this is more heartening than I thought! I literally in public look around and wonder which 50% I have anything in common with...

I voted. .. for remain

contentedsoul · 09/07/2019 22:27

I no longer give a shit - honestly!!
I think Hunt / Johnson Or Corbyn are the absolute pits - if that's the best we can scrape together out of a population of 60 million fucking people in the UK…..Well, I think this country deserves everything that's coming to it.

None of the aforementioned have the "stature" I would respect or indeed trust to lead this country forward.

Has anyone noticed that politics in this country has never been the same since smiling-tony & call-me-dave came to power.

It's like some cheesy gameshow these days.

Absolutely despise the lot of 'em!!

Mumsnet is very remain heavy though, as are certain parts of the country so if you live in one of these (I do too) it's easy to look around and think that everybody wants remain. Look at some Twitter feeds on the subject though and you'll see a very different picture.

TwistyTop · 10/07/2019 06:13

We are often surrounded by like minded people. It's easy to think that your friend's, family's and colleague's thoughts on something are totally normal and reflect the general populace, when in fact they could be wildly out of step with the general population. The only way to really know how the general public feels about something is to have a vote. The vote is the most accurate measure of these things.

timeforakinderworld · 10/07/2019 06:16

Remain - I get to keep my job, my family and not trash the economy. It's a no-brainer!

feathermucker · 10/07/2019 06:34
