To think there is a grave in my garden?

NC for this as the pics are outing.

Moved in to my house in April and it has what I thought is a really ugly raised bed in the garden. Now the summer has arrived I've realised it gets no sunshine on it at all so isn't a raised bed after all.

DD and I were pottering our there this afternoon and we came across this plaque on the raised bed.

WTF.

Is it a coincidence or is it a grave?!

Babadouche presumably you can only do it if you own the house

VictoriaBun · 09/07/2019 22:22

Dog skeleton, one dog only !

Pinkyyy · 09/07/2019 22:24

Here's hoping you don't find anything nasty, OP!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 09/07/2019 22:26

I would be completely unable to resist digging in that just to be sure.

StripeyChina · 09/07/2019 22:27

I was wondering about Silver Gussets - thinking: 'I've never heard of that'

Good luck OP (and let us know!)

TreacherousPissFlap · 09/07/2019 22:28

Fair play OP, I love somebody who has the balls to say,
"Good shout about it being a memorial, I'm going to dig it up and see" Grin

glittertissues · 09/07/2019 22:29

Placemarking because I need updates Blush

KitKatCHA · 09/07/2019 22:30

I don't think I could bring myself to dig it up myself, I'd definitely get someone else to do it for me!

Rubytinsleslippers · 09/07/2019 22:32

Would there need to be an official registration of a grave?

GoFiguire · 09/07/2019 22:33

We all need silver gussets. You never know where those ghouls might end up.

Imjusthere · 09/07/2019 22:33

All sounds interesting!! Wonder if its Harold

neveradullmoment99 · 09/07/2019 22:34

Goodluck digging. A bit creepy if its a grave!! Also a bit sad.

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 09/07/2019 22:36

silver gussets to ward off evil!! Brilliant!

OP do not dig! You will unleash a zombie apocalypse. Safer to just move house immediately.

PerfectionistProcrastinator · 09/07/2019 22:48

I think I’d rather go down the route of looking it up through records. That’s a wide space and you’d have to dig deep, you could be at it for days!

Plus...it’s creepy 😱

Bunnica15 · 09/07/2019 22:49

Following! 👀

fabadababadoodee · 09/07/2019 22:54

Keep us posted on what the outcome is!! 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱

Puzzledandpissedoff · 09/07/2019 22:54

Anyone else reminded of this? Grin

Rivkka · 09/07/2019 22:56

Dig but if you hit wood, stop.

SamBeckett · 09/07/2019 23:01

@Puzzledandpissedoff I loved the Adams family !

SamBeckett · 09/07/2019 23:02

And if you hit bone dont stop ( run like buggery )

MitziK · 09/07/2019 23:06

Silver gussets. I think you'll be OK without them because any Rigor Mortis will have definitely worn off by now

I'd stick a pumpkin plant in there. Perfect for October.

Decormad38 · 09/07/2019 23:10

That's going to be my resting place. My garden. Why get buried in a field with everyone else? Placemarking ready for the dig!

SlightlyMisplacedSingleDad · 09/07/2019 23:11

Time to head to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for this all to blow over.

tomatostottie · 09/07/2019 23:15

I've just remembered that just after we got the keys DD said that there is a man who lives in our house called Harold and he has a dog.

You think your DD has seen a ghost man and ghost dog?

Please start digging and let us know what happens.
