Same bus most days as my commute home from work - infrequent service so mostly the same people each day.

Theres one particular woman who has a packet (or 2) of crisps every evening and eats them so loudly! Mouth open chomping and lip smacking. Everyone glares at her and the odd person tuts at her, but she just has no idea.... or she does and just doesnt care.

Winds me up way more than it should! Been a long day at work lol, can you tell?

She will have no care or idea. This is her routine, and she’s in her own little world.

My colleague eats crisps more loudly than anyone else I’ve ever heard. It’s almost as if her mouth creates some sort of amplifier around the crunch. My heart sinks every time she pulls out a packet of crisps (luckily, it tends to only be once a week or so).

She’s great in loads of ways, though, so I have to forgive her (and I’m sure I have a habit that really irritates her!).

I definitely have sensory issues as this would drive me crazy! I get the rage at the slightest noises sometimes ( running water of all things being one! ) but I wouldn't openly show it.

This woman clearly has a routine where she eats the crisps on the bus home, presumably after work? She may work in a job where she has little time to eat and looks forward to her crisps on the bus

If she is being overly noisy then I know from experience looking at you dp that lots of people simply don't realise how loud they actually are. Dp also answers the phone like that character Dom Joly played years ago- HELLOOOOOO so bloody loud its embarrassing.

Omg there’s a woman who chews gum with her mouth open on my tram and it drives me fucking crazy. It’s so disgusting!!

I commute on public transport and am often surrounded by crisp-munchers. Don't think I'll ever get used to the noise. Headphones help.

She’s probably been banned from eating them at work because she’s so irritating

She will be absolutely oblivious people always are. I've just been on a train with a woman screaming her conversation into a mobile phone. Pretty much everyone has gawked in her direction to show they are not enjoying her 1.5 hr catch up and she wouldn't even realise...

I would vote for any party that banned crisps on public transport.

I'd rather crisp munching noises (as revolting as they are, sorry OP) than the selfish cow who sprayed some honking perfume all over herself on the bus the other night. It even set the bus driver off coughing so he had a go at her too. I had to take my blue puffer four times before the journey was over and all the windows had to be opened by us other passengers. She got told in no uncertain terms how little we all thought of her.

It would piss me off too, utterly hate seeing/hearing/smelling people eating on the bus!

My colleague eats an apple in the most horrendous way, I dont have a clue why it is so loud, but i have to shove my headphones in as i shudder.

Crisps and munching would not bother me. However I would rather eat in peace than eat on the bus so would not be an annoying muncher myself.

For those asking,the crisp of choice changes. Today it was beef hula hoops..kinda thrown in one at a time and caught with a big fat crunch
