He and DH have been together for 10 years next month.. where for the time go?!
I am wondering how my fellow MNers celebrated?
We are 26 and 28, been married for 2 yrs and don’t currently have any children (work in progress!).
We go out for dinner and have the odd weekend away, so I’m wondering if I should organise something like this but don’t know how to make it extra special.
We are going to Italy at the end of August (a few weeks after our anniversary), so could do something then potentially..
I am also thinking of putting together a scrap book/photo album of random stuff we have done together.. but I worry I won’t have enough time to finish it as sad as it sounds, we don’t spend much time apart!
Just curious to see what others did and any suggestions would be awesome 🙂

Even after we got married we celebrated the date we met every year. In fact more than our wedding anniversary. Then Dd1 was born 2 days after our annual anniversary so that put paid to any celebrating on that date as her birthday now comes first. But I digress, for our 10the anniversary we went for a long weekend in Stockholm. For our 10th wedding anniversary DS was quite a small baby so my parents babysat and we just went out for a quick meal locally.

Cant remember what we did for 10th or 20th wedding anniversary. Just about remember what we did for our 30th.
As time goes on we never bother much. Quite often we tend to be on holiday then .

It’s our 10th anniversary this month, the day before we’re going on a family holiday to
Majorca for a week. We’re hoping DH’s parents will watch the kids (9 and 3) for a day and have them sleep over in their hotel room so we can have a day/night to ourselves and just do what we want!

10 years together...I have absolutely no idea when that would have been! Am v impressed with people who can date their relationships so accurately and didn’t just stumble vaguely into them. 10 years married - we went to Italy, but to be fair we were going anyway, it was a family holiday. We actually forgot it on the actual day.

Thanks for your replies everyone!
I am glad that some people agree to celebrate the 10 years!
Think we are gonna go for something ‘different’!
@Raera .. You have inspired us! Think we will go to the countryside near to an activity place and do all sorts like 4x4 Driving, archery, segways, axe throwing.. just have fun!
Thanks again all :)

It's our 10th wedding anniversary this summer. We already had a big holiday this year so we are going to Wales with the kids, which is where we went on honeymoon (also with the kids). I do feel like we are missing out a bit but child care is non existent at the moment with aging parents. I basically think that if you get the chance you should just celebrate what and when you can! Go for it. Are there any concerts or plays you want to see? Make it memorable?

Raera · 09/07/2019 10:02

The axe throwing was really good fun!
Have a fab time!

We didn't do anything I don't think?! We don't really have childcare.

Our wedding anniversary and our anniversary of getting together are very close, so we just use our wedding anniversary as a "been together ten years, married six"

I think we will arrange something for our tenth wedding anniversary, as our kids will be older and hopefully childcare options are better

We went out for a meal and I got DH a couple of mens bracelets from Demi and co jewellery. www.demiandco.com/collections/alpha-mens-jewellery

I also got a necklace in return which was beautiful, we are planning a little trip later in the year as our anniversary fell during school term!
