To find this weird/annoying?

I work in London near a tourist hotspot, let’s just say a large fountain with seating, and this has annoyed me so I wanted to rantBlush

Decided to sit outside near the fountain during my lunch, sitting next to me were a family of 4 who were throwing their food onto the floor and as a result, a large group (10+) of pigeons congregated in the seating area in front of us, scavenging the food. Aibu to think that this behaviour is not on? The parents were actively encouraging their kids and didn’t seem to think there was anything wrong with it, they just thought it was ‘cute!’

They have now left, but not without leaving a massive mess of their food waste (including on the seats). I don’t think this an appropriate place to try and feed the bloody pigeons, it’s annoying for the rest of the us here who don’t want pigeons fighting over bits of kitkat next to their feet.

This pic isn’t even the full extent as there were more pigeons behind the bags!

Completely agree with you.

YANBU.
It's inconsiderate towards other people, especially the workers who have to clean up the mess. And it's not good for the pigeons either.

Twerps.

I'd find it hard to get annoyed about this 🤷

I know you're not supposed to feed the pigeons now but I love them. I miss feeding them a few crumbs.

Leaving mess on the seats is not on though

I really miss feeding the pigeons at Trafalgar Square. Some of my earliest memories are us being surrounded by thousands of pigeons,in the Square, loads perched on my tiny outstretched arm and on my shoulders as we fed them.
