Had a small garden party earlier - just a couple of pals. When it was just the two of us left one of my friend's mentioned that she wouldn't be able to go to an event (organised by her - I said I wasn't going at the outset) - apparently I said well that's what she usually did (her version, not mine) - she has gone in a right huff, stormed off and gone crazy. To be fair we had both had a couple of drinks and although what I said was true, I did apologise -she went mental and stomped off. Should I feel bad?

You weren't planning to go to the event.
She decides not to go herself to the event & lets others down.
You tell her that she always does that.
She is mad with you.

WhiteDust exactly. She keeps booking things and organising days out etc. but she quite often doesn't follow through. I really don't think I was as blunt as she says I was but to be honest I was telling the truth. Think I hit a nerve. I text to apologise last night but no response. Don't know if I should phone her?

Leave her to her sulk. She sounds flaky.

I'd give her a call, better to talk it through.

Argh I knew someone like that! Just let her calm down, don't chase her.
