To be pissed off at my FIL for wasting concert tickets

Can't decide if I am or not, DP says I am.

For Christmas last year I spent money on two concert tickets for my FIL. Tonight is the concert.
The main act isn't on for another hour but the whole thing started at 3.

FIL isn't even there yet he has been waiting for a bus for 20 mins! He says if the next bus doesn't turn up he will just go home as he is shattered (he has worked for the last 2 weeks with one or two days off)

I had to put the tickets on my CC and haven't even paid it off yet! I'm so annoyed that he has let them go to waste. One ticket was wasted anyway as he couldn't find anybody to go with him

I saw the Proclaimers earlier this year and really enjoyed them.

Similar happened with me and dm. She loves strictly dancing and I bought two tickets for a tour taking place when they would appear in our town in April (Xmas gift). She was going with my sister. Sister turned up to pick her up on the day and dm said she was too tired to go, and sister couldn’t get someone else to go at short notice so tickets wasted. I was annoyed like you, and we had quite a big fallout over it, when in response to my annoyance Dm posted money to me to cover the price of the tickets! Guess I’m just saying might be best to let it go and make a mental note not to buy this sort of gift in future. Me and dm now talking, but it did cause a lot of upset at the time, and I think I probably should have handled it differently.

I went to a concert on my own for the first time a while back and it was bloody marvellous. I could actually listen and watch properly. A couple of friends have said they'll absolutely go with me next time this person tours and I don't want them to!

@DieSchottin93 Oooh, enjoy Prague! Apparently they were brilliant last night, according to my friend. He was on the crew who did the set build and then he got to watch from the side of the stage. He kept sending videos and texts all night. Am jealous
